Hi everyone,
And thank you so much to everyone for all your prayers, thoughts and emails. I believe they are working. After much researching, heart searching and talking to the vets, we decided on a course of treatment. Last Mon. and Tues. Cody's cough seemed to worsen, the lymph nodes in his throat had enlarged. I knew I had only days to make a decision and so took him in for bloodwork wed. night, which came out excellant for his age and the lymphoma. Thursday night the Dr. fit me into his schedule and gave Cody a shot of chemo, L-asparaginase, and started on high doses of pred. which I am to cut back a little every 7 days. My Dr.'s have had some success with this in keeping the cancer in remission for a longer period. Their longest remission from this course of treatment is going on 9 months.....so we're hoping and praying that it continues to work. By Sat. all lymph nodes were down and the cough is almost completely gone! He is still eating good and has alot more spark in him. I can tell he's feeling much better. I am so very greatful. I realize it's only a matter of time before the monster rears it's ugly head again, but hopefully it will be a long while from now. Dr. said to of course check his lymph nodes every few days and listen for a change in his cough again. We're also doing a few other natural things as far as supplements, water and food. He has had no ill effects what so ever from the chemo or the pred, thankfully. Thanks again for all your well wishes, it is so greatly appreciated. Best wishes to everyone and I will keep in touch .
With heartfelt thanks,
Janet
