When young, Shay would pull to point of gagging. Now he is better after some formal training. Melli just waddles. It's like a limited choke collar because the combo of chain and canvas (or canvas and canvas) keeps it from cinching too tight but you can still make correctlon like with a choke collar. The hound folk use it because they can't back out. It's really hard to buy online because some advertise neck size, some do so without counting for the chain. Best to fit in person in a pet store or with a trainer.
