Company, Like Fish, Stink After Three Days

Ginger the Wonder Pug has now gone home. Thank Heavens. The SECOND and I mean the secondGinger went out the door, Ellie layed down and went into a coma, lol. About two minutes after that, our poor kitty came out and peeked around and finally ventured out into the front room. Ellie was so tired, she didn't even chase the cat!

Ellie quickly came right back around to her loyal and loving self. She is happily in our faces again and a tv/couch buddy. She is grateful to be back to her routine.

I always thought having a second Sheltie for Ellie would be wonderful for her, but with her personaility, it would really have to be such a perfect balance finding that perfect housemate and playmate for her.

Another sheltie could definitely be a good thing, but you'd need one that is submissive and laid back. A male might be better, male shelties seem to be more laid back than females.

 I was ready to post before going to the next and didn't then read this. You both described Sca. He is super laid back and likes everyone. If they snub him he just shrugs it off. If they want to play that is good also. Shoot when Cranberry visited Sca would run out to get the frisbee then stop and let Cranberry (or Dixie) grab it because well they probably wanted it  My only fear with a second would be the puppy puts a saddle on him and uses him like a horse.

The Sheltie I had before Ellie would have been perfect for her. Jazz (male) was the most laid-back dog I have ever seen.

Ellie is still tired, lol. :sleepy: She is going to the groomer tomorrow. She is a stinky mess. Ginger has wadded up lots of hair mats from slobber. Yuck.

Now Rob how did you know that Newton and Zoey plan to do this at the next Sheltie gathering! :eek2:

Newton might be a bit big but the Zo might be light enough  Of course he might have a brother by then so you might see Sca the monitor (I give it 50/50 that he has that personality)
