Could this be what some of our dogs really think?

I don't think any of mine think that. Not even surly Ember.

They know the point is yummy treats and playing. If your dogs thinks that way I say you need to focus less on yourself and more on how to properly motivate your dog.

Oh Edan is in heaven when we are playing agility. CJ on the other hand has her moments where I'm sure she thinks things are pointless. She HATES multiple repetitions of things (which makes it really hard to drill her weave poles). Three, maybe four, passes and she's bored with the exercise.

I know that mine don't think that. the way that they act when we get to the agility field is proof. they might not want to do things the way that I want them to but they do want to do them. and the cookies aren't bad either

what you said --- i know my dog is crazy about agility, he loves running and you can say he does that to play w/ me which is an awesome motivation for me.... but sometimes i can see he'd rather just run around like rocket instead of doing "technical" stuff.

Hmmm...I wonder. I hope not, but hey, you just never know. Where's a pet psychic when you need one?

Do you really think they could be that great of actors...Because they sure ACT like they are having a blast!!! :biggrin2: I don't think that joke appies to shelties or BCs...they are agility maniacs.

I was gonna say with Storm we dont even get to the field, about 1/4 mile from the field there is a stop sign for a major highway, well they have those warning cuts in the road that make noise when you drive over them. As soon as we hit the warning tracks Stormy's up looking ot the window and whinning like a banshee with anticipation of what's to come, Now Cosmo on the other hand is like a oh gezz not again.
