In puppy-hood, it is important that we have them in a room (no cage) where they are safe and can move around when we are away from home for longer.
You're right we come far with "Using common sense and have a sense of empathy" - If only all owners of these little souls would think so.
I can easily see it may be situations where it may be a short time solution - even a good one.
