Well he's not just doing it in his crate anymore, today he managed to push his ex-pen to the edge of the kitchen and get it up on to the carpet at which point he dug, and snacked on the edge of the carpet.
In a matter of no time there was a pretty decently sized hole in the carpet all the way down to the fibers. It's in the worst possible room too, one with a pooltable in it so replacing the carpet eventually is going to be a giant pain in the bottom.
I sure hope he grows out of this otherwise I'll have to leave him in his crate all day rather than the ex-pen.
Well I hear ya about carpet!
So far since Jasper has been home, the few places on sunporch, which were easily covered by area rug,and by both entry doors out there, the pups have managed to slowly nibble & tear linolium.By the front door entry door,we actually had to cut linolium in a clean square, and use heavy tape to keep edges down.
Tape does'nt work as well, but for now,we have to make do.I can't put throw rugs down on the porch, especially if we are gone,as both of them will destroy them. I only put them down now,to hide the imperfections,if we have company.
In the front living room,I'm not sure which one has started it,but by one of the floor registers, they have pulled fibre,so now the carpet is frazzled. This is the only room with carpet, and it needed to go long before Trapp & Jasper came home. Now it's very high up on the to do list.
