The Thundershirt has a very interesting concept and I think I will try this. My only concern from reading all the reviews is that it didn't really address separation anxiety but does appear to calm them down.
I just bought 3 new rugs....trusting her, I put them down and for 2 days she never touched them; but today she had a taste of each one of them!! Even with the bitter spray!
It is worth a try with the Thundershirt....but with my luck she will probably "calmly" chew the rugs!! Another 80 bucks down the drain for rugs! LOL
My dog somehow acquired a taste for the corners of our walls. I tried bitter spray, I tried waiting for her to chew it to scare her away from it, and nothing worked.
I went back to crating (I know you don't want to crate) and then eventually went to blocking her off with baby gates from the corners she seemed more likely to chew. Slowly but surely I gave her more access to the corners, and she seemed to have gotten over it. I think she just forgot that she liked it! I think she did it because it afforded her some level of security, and it became a habit. I forced her to break the habit by not giving her access, and she got over it.
That may or may not work for you, but I wanted to share.

Remember....dogs think very differently than people.
