I think some members have taken her live classes and seminars?
Have really enjoyed my other on line classes. Tons of info, can work at my own timeline, ask questions, see other's discussions about their stuff.
Also she has online class from Helen King how to pick puppy- always wanted to hear that one too. And agility world can breathe happily, running contacts class is only $200:biggrin2:/ totally tongue in cheek/

I know a few people who take her on line courses and love her and know someone who took Susan Garett's on line course. and liked her.I would rather have hands on training.I wonder what suckers paid $5,000 and got picked for her class.

I like her philosophy of life and I like that she is an educator which means she already has skills to teach. Ability to put titles on own dogs does not equal with ability to teach or run successful training program business wise IMHO.
I like that she taught science, to me it means she is much more likely to look for science in dog training, which is something that works well for me. I do not want someone to tell me "yeah, go teach distance skills this way, it works"
I want to start with answering question "WHY would dog WANT to run a field away and take that jump in distant corner?"
As for hands on learning, it sure great when you have it all near you but since I can not live in Canada, Sweden, Slovenia, England, Cal and heck knows where else all at once I am really happy that more and more great trainers offer classes online. I am visual learner so seeing clips over and over digests well with me, and reading/ rereading/ repeating/ rewriting all on my own timetable is great way to learn and have it stuck in my brain:biggrin2: Just need additional 24 hrs a day to sit by computer, and then another 24 hrs to play with puppies, and whatever left from the day is for actual job to earn $$$ to support my habits...

Since this is online, does anyone know what the difference is between a working and auditing spots? I know what they are IRL, but online, not so sure.

I've come across "working", "auditor" and "observer" while looking at online classes.

Working can post questions and videos, Auditors can't post videos but can post questions, Observers just read and can't post anything.

I just came to know there are Awesome Paws online classes going on now too by Linda Mecklenburg.

ARGH! So many options, so little time and money!

I think I have seen Fanny Gott having an option to buy one lesson as observer, i.e. just watch the discussion and clips. I have taken puppy class and foundations as auditor at Silvia Trkman and have learned a lot. My skills with camera are abysmal and so is clip editing also I felt I am so new to dog training and shaping that I will be only able to skim the very top layer of info anyway. Great thing about ST classes they are avail on line after graduation, am sure as time goes by they eventually be archived but for now I am still able to go back and revisit discussions and clips. Silvia also presented one of her DVD as gift if person posted graduation clip. Auditors were allowed to post graduation clips as well.
I think it will take me a long time to get through info from Linda M DVD, can't imagine people had to process it in one weekend. Nice to know that so many options now available.
