Dandie is starting semi-private lessons tonight

Very cool...I was hoping to sign up for privates soon but don't have the $$. Story of my life..pay for training then there's no money left for trialling & vice versa :rolleyes2:

How old is your daughter? My 10 year old is starting to show some interest in Agility but I don't think she's seriously ready for lessons. She likes the idea of it, just not the hard work :biggrin2:. I'm hoping maybe when she's a bit older that she'd like to run Clancy as a junior handler...Anything that keeps her away from boys...!

That's a great deal! I pay $60 for a one hour private.

Actually, that is what this is, $60/hour. Since there are two of us, we each pay $30 for the hour. It is going to kill me for the next couple of months because I have two girls doing this, so I am forking out $60/week in agility training for my kids and dogs :eek2: Time for me to get another job outside the home.....the kids hobbies are getting to cost too much :dead:

So, things we have worked on:

  • Grid Work
  • Standing on a plank, walking on the plank, and putting front feet on the ground from the plank and holding that position (with her bottom in the air). At home we work on this on our stairs to get her used to stopping in that position.
  • wobble board
  • restrained recalls
  • Started jumping from the side onto the seesaw while it was propped up and getting her to stand on it.
  • Having the seesaw propped up real high on one side so the other side is up about 4 inches from the ground and getting her to put her front feet on the seesaw so it hits the ground.
  • Lots and lots of play with tugging.

We are having a blast. Agility is so much fun for a pup!
