So we have a food dehydrator and im really starting to think that we need to dehydrate some stuff to make jerky for Gizmo. I know you can do chicken or beef. Someone else posted doing sweet potatoes/yams. What other sort of things can/do you guys dehydrate? with the meats, do i need to prepare them at all or just cut and put on the trays? my machine has different temp settings, like one for fruit/veggies, one for meats and such. so what temp do you guys cook your stuff at and for how long?

Dehydratated Treats

My friend has one ans she makes all her own treats. She uses anything like chicken ,pork, whatever they have left over and she adds I think teryiaki to marinate.I will have to ask her.All I know all the dogs lover her because of what she makes.

I have microwaved treats/meats with success, don't particularly like dehydrated ones as I want some moisture in training treats. Microwave is perfect for it.

I bought home made treats before, it included some sesame chicken Chips(I think she mixes the chicken and sesame in the mixer and just lay it out really thin) they smell very good. the dogs love it! Chicken breast strips are also very simple to make. Cut and dry she said lol
