Hopefully this spring I will be seeing how Belle does with ducks. I am very interested to see what she can do and how she does it! At home when herding her basketball, she will first run circles around me then right before i kick the ball she will crouch and stare like a border collie. I guess alll those mini border collie comments went to her head

I can just see it Some shelties do have strong eye. I think I read it was about 20%. Then there are dogs like Ember. Herd what?

Phebe does the BC crouch and stare, too. I want to have her evaluated for herding instinct for her first birthday. I know someone with Corgis who herd, so I think I can get hooked up with the right folks, but I'm also going to check out the links Justicemom posted.
