Do Ladies Blow Coat Twice A Year?

Lexi is shedding a lot of undercoat right now (she's 11 months). So is Bentley, but I figure this is his once a year shed. It's super hot out.

Fluff is about 11 and a half months old, and she is shedding some, but it's not the full blown undercoat shed like Smudge did back in the spring. :uhoh: It's kind of why I was curious. It makes me wonder even more if our dogs are almost the same age and shedding/blowing coat! :eek2:

edit:

It's still 90 plus degrees here, too. No cool weather in sight!

I dont notice it in the girls with that big of a shed when they are a year..They tend to blow coat like Rachel said if you look at them wrong:rolleyes2:

Its harder to show the girls because of this fact that they seem to be always out of coat, it seems you have one or 2 months where they have a good one and than poof.....
Poor Mia about 12 weeks after her litter she looked like a shelter dog...I swear if she had 5 strands of fur on her tail she was lucky!! Now 7 months later she has that nice plush dense coat again....im sure she'll be going into season within a month or 2 than it will be blowing coat again!:rolleyes2:

Noah had his big 1 year shed...although it was delayed by a few months and OMG I thought I was going to die! Ive never in all my life seen sooo much fur!:eek2: within the last week or so its stopped though. I can finally brush him with out getting out tons of fur! Im waiting to give him one more warm bath, im hoping tomorrow will be warm enough so I can dry him outside with out having to vacuum every inch of the dog room!!

I can imagine! Now that Sadie and Ginny's mom has been spayed she has a gorgeous coat. Before she was spayed however she seemed to be out of coat more often than she was in coat, especially after Ginny's litter. Poor Sassy looked downright naked by the time the puppies went to their homes. :eek2:
