We find the same thing here. Our dogs are wary of dogs that are not shelties. Sometimes they can be snobs about it, where they will just look at them with disdain. And certainly toward obnoxious in your face breeds.
It does make you laugh.


But when we go to confirmation shows and Tully meets her siblings she doesnt reconise them as being siblings. We even did training with Tully's sister from a previous litter and I dont think she could tell.

I am sure it is somewhat related to comparing them with parents but still...
it is also might be more related to the way how dogs play- shelties would prefer chase games and other dogs have different games more wrestling type...
