Does anyone else's dog do this?

Edan and CJ both do this; but they are opposite one another.

Edan stands still to pee (though sometimes he moves before he's done and has to stop again) and walks when he poops.

CJ, on the other hand, walks to pee and stays still to poop.
 
Bradley walks about 3-5 feet every time he poops... not while peeing but definitely poop. People always laugh when they get a view of it, which causes him to give a "look" all defensively.

Definitely a "clean elimination" tactic little shelties seem to have.
 
Glad to know my dogs are not the only eccentric ones haha I noticed Leah does the same thing as your pup when she potties. My shiba, Rowdy, poops in a circle till he is done. People who see him do that always get a good laugh out of it and give us a hard time. I dont know why they do that but its funny.
 
Nope Sca stops and the tail goes up like a flag. When he was a tiny pup if the tail went up you had about 1 second before to late. He does either spin around afterwards for a look see or go on a parade lap though :lol:
 
Glad to know that Ainsley isn't the only sheltie who does this. I thought maybe she was working on some new type of performance art. :smile2:
 
Darby is an amazing travelling pooer. He dedicates every muscle in his body into taking a dump even to the way he holds his mouth. Part of his ritual is to move VERY slowly whilst pooing. He will take 30 seconds just to take one step!!

Sophie, don't lose hope entirely, Deja doesn't travel at all. She's a perfect lady when it comes to the daily duties. In fact, now that her pants have grown out a little, she gets into position and shifts ever so slightly, the hair of her pants forms a curtain so that noone can whatch what she's doing. It's very cute.
 
My Keeley does that ALL the time, peeing and pooping! Sometimes when she pees she'll squat, lift one back foot off the ground and hobbles all around while shes going! I call it the "potty shuffle" :rolleyes2:
 
Angel is still but after she is done she does the "I feel good" run. Do any of your's do this? (she even attempts it on the leash).
