Mine have killed every toy the cats own...

That's what happens here...so poor Bimmer doesn't get cat toys anymore. The dogs were too fond of the little feathers, strings, etc... I wasn't sure if it was safe for them.

So now Bimmer is forced to play with dog toys. It is funny to watch them all chase after a tennis ball at the same time, though.

Funny about the cat playing with dog toys. I was just thinking about that.

I was just going though the dog toys here, sorting them for Sangria's home coming. I had put a ton a stuffed toys in the closet toy box. I found a stuffed white duck that was Jazz's first toy. When I got Tanner, my cat, he loved that white duck. It was bigger than him and he used to carry it all over the house. Kick it ,sleep with it, chew on it. It was passed to Justice ,then Ember ,then Diva and now Sangria.

It has gotten dirty and been washed alot but it doesn't have one hole in it and has been well loved over then years. Tanner is 15 yrs old so that duck is atleast 16yr old. I was just thinking it is amazing that it has survived all these years and no one chewed it up. It is just a regular stuffed duck.

Shelties love cat toys...I've often wondered if Shelties were part cat somewhere in the breeding lines! My experience with the dogs and the hamster toy and how they "toy" with it like a cat says it all!

I've even seen my boys groom themselves like a cat....lick their feet and then rub their paws on their face...no joke!

I swear Miko is part cat. I had a cat once and bought the toy where it's basically a ball on a wire with a base, so the cat can bat it around. Miko used to sit there and smack it around with his paw, then he'd back up, rear in the air and slightly pounce on it. He loved it WAY more than the cat. He also loved the toys that rattle (not squeak), so more cat toys came into the house. I think my cat's toy....was Miko himself. lol.
