Does your Sheltie Hiccup?

This morning I was playing with CeCe and I noticed she was hiccuping. She's done this before on a couple of occasions. It doesn't seem to bother her, like it would me when I hiccup, but I was just wondering, do all dogs hiccup? I've never seen a dog hiccup before. And is it a health issue?

I don't think it's any more a problem than it is for us. A hiccup is actually a spasum of the diaphram. :uhoh: Its a muscle that keeps your organs out of the lung and heart area. Kia does it once in a great while. usually after she has been running around and then takes a drink of water.

Sadie does the same, she has the loudest, grossest burps! She also gets the hiccups occasionally. I've never been concerned about them as she doesn't get them very often and they never last more than a minute or two.
 
I have unfortunately experienced hiccups, nasty smelly burps and I can't forget the lovely oooo scratch my butt oh wait here mom let me fart in your face too. Yeah the fart in the face was not lovely.. however it was funny the first time she farted, she heard it looked at me funny like saying did I do that.. she smelled her but and shook her head and made a face like OMG that was awful smelling. I laughed so hard I cried. Poor baby was not happy with me b/c I told everyone and she got so mad at me for doing that. She didn't want anything to do with me for a day. hahaha:lol:
