Does Your Sheltie Hide?

lol,Molly who HATED to show sees me break out my sneakers (I only wear Sneakers for handling class) and she hasnt shown in what 4 or more years sees them and runs and hides...lol...
Noah who hates to have his nails dremmeled see me pick up the dremmel and bolts outside...now I have to hide it in my pocket or behind my back till I get him flipped over!
Sometimes it drives me crazy to own dogs who are smart:gaah
 
My last dog, a half-Sheltie had a knack for hiding under the bed whenever the going got tough. I could call out "Hey, Boo-Boo, go look and see what's in your dish!" And he'd come a-running. But if I intended to clip his nails or give him a bath I could yell out the exact same thing, in the exact same tone of voice, and he'd make a beeline for the bedroom.
 
All four of mine scatter like lemmings when they see me moving the grooming table into position. Forget the doggie bathtub. Suddenly no one is upstairs!

Checkers likes to hide in the dining room when she doesn't want to go outside. She waits for the other three to get out the door (which is in the dining room) and then we play chase around the dining room table until I can herd her out the door. :hide

Like Linda, I have to hide the Dremmel behind my back until I catch one. Then the jig's up and the other three all know what's coming. Oh the torture our poor Shelties have to endure.... :rolleyes2:
 
These posts are so amusing, like Lil' Lady. Yes and I have put those clippers in my pocket too for her nails. Gosh when you get all the grooming stuff out they are smart.

Lucky is so laid back nothing bothers him either. The only time he worried me when I couldn't find him, shut the bathroom door on himself. He never barked to come out, and dummy me I should have rang the door bell, knocked on the doors. I open that door and he stood and stared at me, well its about time you opened the door for me. I was frantic, and I think he enjoyed it. LOL

These little fur balls are too funny.
 
In addition to grooming products, my dog also hides under the table when I take out her leash. I don't think she's scared. I think she thinks it's a game because she loves going for walks. This can get tedious since I walk her multiple times a day!
