Dog therapy - Buffy passed her test!

Buffy passed her dog therapy test today! It's basically a modified CGC, with a few therapy-specific items added. She can go and do dog therapy once she turns one year old (in May).

Just wanted to share because I am excited!

Also - If any forum members are from Chicago and/or have experience in dog therapy, I would love to hear about your experiences or recommendations about dog therapy.

Wow! I'm happy for you and Buffy! I wanted to do it with my boys, but was told I had to wait until they were 3 years old!

I think that every organization has its own rules. I know that TDI is the most common test done with the CGC here but most of the nursing centers/places to visit only accept dogs with the Delta certification. seems like they could coordinate that a little better. If you're really interested, I would find out what the place that you want to visit with accepts for certification. then you won't have wasted time/money on the wrong certification :smile2:

Thanks for the advice! I contacted an organization that specializes in therapy pups. Did not occur to me to approach actual locations individually!
