Energizer bunny puppy!!!

Shelby was the same way as a pup. Now at 5 she is a lot more calm and is content to just lay in the house on top of the AC.

Except when we get home from doing a nursing home visit. Then she has the zoomies like crazy. Runs around the yard, up the steps of the deck, across the deck, and jumps off the top step on the other side of the deck and back around the yard. It is like she had too keep all this energy pent up while doing visits and she has to get it all out.

How old is Lacey? Our 12 week old boy, Milo, loves to play but does lots of napping too. He loves to chew his pig's ear and play with the puzzle box. Luckily, my college kids are home with all their friends this summer to help keep him active! Good luck!!

Lacey is a year old and she was driving me nuts today. We had been gone over the weekend and picked her up from her trainer last night. I was totally beat, but she was dying to play.

can relate!

My girls can do that...they can have a busy day, konk out, and just as I am ready to call it a day, they get a second wind and have to have a zoomie time, or play with me mom time, or whatever. They KNOW when to perk up, and it doesn't usually correspond to my schedule at all...gotta love the energy reserves of a sheltie:lol:

Barley is go-go-go all the time too. Thankfully he does have an off switch and usually naps the night away. Our back neighbours have two dogs (one which is a puppy) and he LOVES them. They spend hours chasing each other through the fence, licking faces etc.

This Friday we have our third set of vaccinations and we can FINALLY go for walks and burns off some of that energy.

Sounds like Blaze with the exception that there's a ramp involved and the jump is FROM the deck itself. Oh yes, there's happy yapping the whole time too (neighbors have told me that they hear it) and it's done over and over again. Doesn't seem to be a way to stop the behavior.

I'm trying to keep her quiet since she was spayed yesterday. she is starting to feel really good. Caught her doing zoomies this afternoon and leashed her. She is not a happy puppy. She want's to play!!!
