I find it very pleasant to walk Willow this time of year. Neither of us gets overheated and the trees are pretty as they begin to don their fall attire. We waited until after lunch as the night was a bit restless with thunderstorms sweeping through the city and the rain was falling outside all night and throughout the morning. Willow doesn't appear to be afraid of thunder but she's not happy about the noise and bone-rattling. Willow barks right back at that big dog in the sky but she never whimpers or hides.

Here are a couple of shots from one of my favorite vantage points along our usual route. It looks out over one of the lakes. Poor baby only has her mane and hindquarters with any real amount of coat left. The part in the middle looks a lot like the emporer's new clothes. The shedding seems to have slowed down though and for that I'm grateful

Can't really tell about Willow's coat from those pictures - she looks beautiful even in a shed!

What a gorgeous location!!!! The skies really allow the colors behind Willow to pop!

Both scenery and doggie are gorgeous! The fall really is the best walking weather. My girl needs a little sweater, but we love it.
