When I meet dogs with Aztec I just stay as calm as possible, and let things go. If the other dog is to crazy I might pick Aztec up - but he has never been in a situation he can't handle. With other dogs he is very calm, and he actually tends to have a calming effect on other dogs.
The only dog I have seen him scared of was a great dane pup we met (full grown, but still just a big puppy). He didn't seem to believe it was a dog
