Feed what she needs or feed what she likes?

Thanks everyone for your advice. This morning I have mixed together her kibble 1/4 cup with some warm water and then added a level tablespoon of wet food and mixed it all together really well. As soon as the terror saw the can she was whimpering and jumping at my legs. I got her to drop and stay. Put her food down, closed the door, allowed her to eat and 15 minutes later it was gone.
Will continue trying this over the weekend then maybe stop adding the wet food.
She really is too clever for her own good.
