Feeding Enough??

Wow, your pups are younger than Laddie, he is 7 months old and he does not weigh as much at all, last time, it was around 10 pounds, I think he is only 11 inches at the shoulder as well, he is little.

He eats, but not a lot, he would rather eat the wood that Steve puts in the fireplace. He loves cheese, and he does love food, but, he is not a voracious eater, at least in regards to his kibble. I hope he gets a wee bit bigger and a little more weight put on, I have no scale, it was the vet that weighed him last time, in June.

He is so darn delicate, I worry about him, be glad your pup wants to eat, I am afraid now that Laddie is too thin.

Ember is 13" and 13lbs and she will have you know there is nothing delicate about her. She will take out the big blue ox Birch(16 3/4" and 27lbs.) any day of the week.

BTW any heavier then than Ember is fat. Shelties tend to get fat very easily. Ember eats 1/2 cup of food a day total, she has forever. Plus small amounts of training treats.

LOL about Ember, that is cute.

I do not know how much he weighs now, that weight I posted was in June. I do know that he does LOVE to eat, so, I best start watching his "Sheltie figure" now, before it is too late. I thought since they were so active, that it would burn off of them super fast.

they will, if you help them with it. My girl has been on a diet for a month or so and already lost 2-3 pounds. She feels great now :smile2:
