Fighting

For some reason this past month Dusty has decided he hates Skyler :confused2: He has been standing over him growling and trying to hump him! I let all the dogs out this morning to go potty when I heard a bang up against the glass door. When I looked out Dusty and Emily (6 month old gsd pup) had Skyler pinned to the ground. He wasnt injured, but i am worried that it is going to get worse and he will end up getting hurt. I dont know what to do to stop the fighting, heck I dont even know why it started?

Is Emily spayed yet? If not, she could be coming into her first season and it is upsetting the status of the other two.

are dusty and skylar intact? If so I assume its a jockeying for position to be alpha dog...its best to keep them separated...Ive never seen my males go at it, the girls here are far worse than the boys!!! Good luck!!! Hope its just hormones and they sort it out quickly!

I have boy issues, but it's caused by what I think is a rage-like syndrome in one of them. Neutering helped, but didn't solve the issue. I have some theories on breeding "soft" temperaments causing this aggression in future generations.

Skyler is neutered, and has been since he was 6 months old, Dusty is still intact, and so is Emily (we are not allowed to spay her per pilot dogs(guide dog school) Em is only 6 months old so I dont expect her to go into heat for at least 4 months.

I have put Dusty back on the NILIF and started to let them outside at seperate times. I do need to bathe Skyler which of course causes Dusty to go nuts! Anytime I bathe someone he is all over them smelling :rolleyes2:
