Finally, the puppy shots are completed

she looks like she'll be back to causing trouble in no time. good idea to spread things out.
mine have gotten all the same shots as Willow and have never had any issues.
we do heartworm pills year round here in the south.....................

Poor baby she does look a bit pathetic. I guess I've been lucky - I've never had a cat or dog react to vaccines other than be a bit tired. I hope she is back to her bouncy self tomorrow!

Willow is almost back to normal. She won't sit on command though, which is normally her most reliable and perfect request. I am sure it's because of residual soreness. Otherwise, she's annoyingly full of energy and mischief today after a sedentary day. I wouldn't have her any other way. :)

Poor Willow!!!!!

Brodie has the vet coming tomorrow to give a shot. She is also spacing out his shots, one a week until this round is done so I have MANY house visits in my future.

I never did Lepto with my doxies even though we live in an area with tons of deer, coyote, skunks, etc. because of all the issues with the old Lepto vaccine. I will be giving Lepto to Brodie though - new vaccine seems better. I never gave the Lyme's either, old Lyme's vaccine mimicked arthritis in dogs, so I poo-poo'd it. Thinking we will give it.

I was supposed to start Brodie on tick treatment, but have not. Hard to keep the dogs separate for so long when they chew on each other but will do soon. Ticks are active any time the temps are above freezing but he is currently not spending much time outdoors, when he is it's on our property and we are super careful to remove all leaves, etc. from our property to cut down on friendly havens for ticks. Many folks blame deer for ticks, but birds transmit ticks as well as mice, squirrels - bird feeders are a big no-no. I have not started up the heartworm either but will within a month.
