Well this weekend will be our first experience in a big turf equipped arena, I checked it out a few weeks ago when I audited an agility seminar there, Lighting is great but I think it is going to be very very Loud with all the dogs Kenneled On the field and large volume of the place it is the size of 2 football fields and very High and echoey, Should be interesting to she How the little Girl takes to it, going to keep it fairly light 2 runs Saturday Night after Dinner, and 4 runs Sunday during the day. Will let you Know how it goes finger crossed, personally I loved running on the field myself Nice and Cushy on My Bad knees that's for sure just have to see What Stormy Makes of it.

Ohhh, can't wait to see it, hope you got video!
It sure messes with their confidence different venues like that...

Good luck! We had our first indoor trial a few months ago. It's great not to have to worry about bad weather, but I didn't like the venue. My dog wasn't bothered by the noise in the ring, but the halls and area outside the rings were tight. The crate room was noisy and crowded. Those things did bother my dog and made her anxious. I hope your venue is much more spacious.

It's definitely something to get used to as it's louder and in my experience you typically have to crate closer to the rings. For an excitable dog, it's definitely something to keep in mind.

Let us know how it goes!

Good luck with the trial. Our indoor shows are normally on sand or a sand and rubber mix so will be interesting to hear how you find running on the astroturf.

I imagine it will be better than carpet (as per Crufts) for grip so hopefully should be a good experience for you both. :smile2:

Thanks All
It didn't go too Bad over all . Saturday night was a bust no Q's the dogs seemed to be off with the night venue and the new location. Storm and favor went head to head in adv Jumpers and Steeplechase \ neither dog Qualed in either event, Favor double faulted in the Jumpers and and E'd in the steeplechase, Storm single faulted in the jumpers and double faulted on the Steeplechase SO no Q's for anyone Saturday night.

BY contrast the Sunday Morning 16" steeplechase was like night and Day, Debbie De Costa was in from Barrie with her Miniture Poodles always very fast and on a 46 second SCT course Favor had a beautiful 27.9 run , Debbies 2 poodles went
30.4, and 32,6, and pokey Stormy Had a Blistering :wink2: 36.02 still 10 seconds below SCT
4 runs 4 Q in the 16" Reg Division, now how often do you get a fourth with a Q... LOL
SO she is Now Half way to her Masters steeplechase title with 5 Q's

Rest of the day went well good gambler run , Got 2 mini's and had 38 points going into the gamble but she took the Wrong Tunnel entrance on the Main gamble BEEP, and she picked up another ADV Std Q with a very nice run.. But the weekend was Capped off with our other Starters Snooker Q for HER Starter Games Dog of Canada Title YEA!!!.

She didn't make it easy either, I had to do a blind Cross on one of the reds as I did I heard the bar hit the floor, quickly turned and saw it down and managed to call her off the jump I had been indicating for her to take, she came to me snarling all the way like What now what this Crap, quickly found the other red and got her to it with out any problems and the we Completed the Course with out any further problems for the Q and our Title WHEW !!

So 3 Q's For 6 Runs, Video's to follow Later in the week,
Busy week New Granite Counter's for the kitchen reno getting installed this week and then I have to start the Tile backsplash OH yea Fun .
