First Trial!

oh wow
what great speed, you guys are an awesome team, and you can RUN, too! lol
That is great, you guys are going to have a good and long career together!!!
And yayy for the b/f getting involved, because agility has a way of making you addicted and takes up a LOT of time, so he better get used to it, lol

Thank you everyone!!! :smile2:

I'm so happy Kyara had fun and was so focused. I know it will get better and better as we get more trial experience.

About that, I'm already registered for our second one on November 10th :biggrin2:. Can't wait! We are registered for a Jumpers, Standard and Gamblers. I'm hoping for a Q in Jumpers and possibly in Gamblers.

As for standard, this will be a first in trial so I am simply aiming to complete it with a focused Kyara by my side, and hopefully a success at doing the weaves. We are still working on integrating them in a sequence, she does not like slowing down:rolleyes2:.

Ahaha absolutely! I am also happy he got involved and had some fun. I need him to film my future trials . I would also love to see him run Kyara one of these days or get involved with our future dog, but at the same time, I would be sad to not do those runs. Deciding who would do which event would be a difficult task .

yeah... I didn't expect to Q in my first year, but Toffee did manage to Q in starters gamblers twice, so he is now in advanced...
We have one Jumpers and one Snookers Q, no Standard yet, as I didn't enter him in until recently, until I he can handle contacts more confidently. But in the last trial he took his dogwalk, which was my only criteria.. and I WOULD have Q'd if I had realized the rules that in starters they don't call refusals on contacts (he ran passed dogwalk at first) and so I just went with it, thinking I already blew the Q.. ahhhhh and would have Q'd if I didn't foolishly forgot a jump, lol
I was saying all my handwringing and I can't believe I blew it -- not my dog  It's really always handler error!!
ahha but I didn't care because we had a great first few trials, so I am super happy. Very glad you're enjoying your experience also!!!!

I love having my runs filmed, but when my BF comes to trials, he doesn't do a good job of filming. He says that he waits around for 3 hours to see us run and he doesn't want to watch it from my phone, so she he'll watch the run and just hold up my phone to record. I guess it's better than having no footage.
