I would give the uh-uh noise as well.
When Duncan was a pup, he couldn't get up on the couch. Pierre, knowing this, would get up there to relax when he wanted a break from playing. Sheltie smarts and long noses trumped this, however, and Duncan's snout could just get high enough to latch onto Pierre's long, silky, abundantly fluffy tail. Off the couch Pierre would be pulled! I did what I could to curb this (luckily Duncan got big enough to just get up there and pounce on Pierre instead of dragging him down), but it wasn't in time for Pierre's tail. It is STILL growing in. He lost quite a bit with the spring shedding, but much of it was destroyed due to Duncan. He still will nip it when he is in herding mode, but not the same.
Can't wait for it to grow out. Please don't let Smudge get pitiful like Pierre's little tail...
