Food and poop

Prior to using Vibrant Pets,we only fed dry kibble,but now I add just enough warm water to only Trapps food,as he will not get the supplement.

Earnhardt licks his bowl clean,cause he's on a diet so he would probably eat the baseboards in the kitchen if he thought he could get away with it.

Makes no differance in the poop here.These guys drink thier share of ice water though~

I only laugh, because I could see Fluffy eating the kitchen baseboards.

He's just wicked..it's not funny,but I know if he knew he could open the fridge,he would eat everything in sight just to get back at us.

I caught Brian feeding him a tad more yesterday morning..men~

1.Note the use of citric acid (don’t pre-moisten this food)

2.Citric acid is one factor that can contribute to bloat--for this reason, kibble with citric acid should not be presoaked

Interesting, thank you. My collies current diet should keep her fairly safe from bloat, but I want to learn more about it.

I ended up soaking the dry food with hot water for about 15 minutes. It softens the outside but still a crunch. I don't want to change too much since I am transitioning him to Wellness from Diamond. He seems to have a good appetite. I would prefer to go all dry for his teeth and will at some point.

My lab would help himself to anything he good get his mouth around in the pantry, so we had to put all the easily edibles above his reach. The two best were him eating an entire loaf of bread (then drinking all his water AND all the water out of the toilet ) and dumping an entire canister of hot chocolate all over the cream colored living room rug (HUGE mess!!!). Thankfully he had an iron stomach........

We would moisten his dry food with warm water to get him to slow down while eating since he wouldn't inhale his food if it was wet. He was a very dedicated chewer of nylabones and such, so he never had any dental issues.
