For those of us doing AKC

The running order isn't important to me because I am only running one dog, so no conflicts for me. We're still in novice a, so there aren't that many dogs to begin with.

Depending on how your trials are organized, you very well could have a conflict even if with just one dog -- you can't be running in both rings at the same time that conflict can occur with greater frequency than you might think.

Fast Times Agility almost always posts their running orders ahead of time. I didn't think this was anything new.

This is true, you are right. I guess since I am in novice jumpers & standard I haven't run into any conflicts. All the trials I've been to one starts the day and one ends the day. It's a long day!

Is it the running order they post or is it the armband #'s? I think it's the people who have entered, their class and the armband #'s in order.

Either way I feel that having the running order ahead of time or knowing it the day of wouldn't really make much of a difference for me, but I guess it is nice knowing when you're running. It sure doesn't hurt.

Just curious. Is this usually when they don't arrange the classes well, or if a ring is falling behind?

Except for my last trial, I've never had any conflicts running 1 dog. And that conflict came about because we were having major timer issues in one ring so it put us well behind the other ring. And even at that, the conflict wasn't running a dog, it was working and running.

Interesting.

Oh wait. The only other time I had seen conflicts with my one dog was at a CPE trial. That I can understand though, when you're running 5 games in one day, certain things just move faster.

I've seen a conflict from one dog at an AKC trial. One ring was a little behind schedule, but this dog was in open standard and excellent jumpers.

I think conflicts are more common when the dog is running in different levels for jumpers and standard.

Right now I'm still in novice with both, so most likely no conflicts. We will finish novice jumpers before standard, because we already have 2Q's in jumpers and none in standard, so I won't be surprised if I run into a conflict then.

It's running orders. They even list it on the site as "Running order for the whole weekend"
