Found in Miami, Lost Sable Female

Ditto what everyone else has said here, Shawn. Ignore your instinct to talk to this joker under any circumstances and keep this pup. She needs you, and is in the home she deserves to have...YOURS!!!!!

Hi Shawn!

Hi Shawn! This is Maritza, welcome to the forum! I don't post much but I do keep myself busy and read a lot of the threads. I can't believe you found another sheltie!! We should get Ripley, Tru, and the new pup together for a sheltie play date. I took Ripley to visit at Parent to Parent today, they had a blast watching him do all his silly tricks, he has gotten huge and his birthday is next Wednesday. Two years old already, I can't believe how quickly time flies. I think he was only 5 or 6 months old when I took him over to play with Tru and the ferret, although I don't know if he's "ferret friendly" anymore. Keep me updated on the new pup, my new e-mail address is [email protected].

Sounds very off to me and if it was my dog I would be back to you as soon as you e-mailed with all the details about her that I could amass.

In my opinion, even if he produces the right microchip number, you should say: Nope! That's not it!

I just don't think this is a responsible person. I would have moved heaven and earth to get my dog back.

The pup is better off with you, if you can manage it.
Barb

I agree wholeheartedly with Barb!

I hope you don't return the dog to this guy, even if he does come up with the number.

I doubt if he will though, anyone who lived with a dog for several months should be able to at least describe the dog to you. Between both him and his wife you'd think SOMEONE would be able to give descriptive details! The whole thing sounds very fishy.

So anything new happen lately?

Making it Official

Well, here's the latest. I have not heard back from the guy after I told him I had the microchip number also and would compare what he had to it. So, today I have an appointment with my veterinarian for a complete exam and to get Kendall registered as our dog. (Yeah!) I've been looking for a companion for Tru and she finally has one. She seems happier these days. Kendall still is a little wary of certain sounds and quick movements by my boys, but otherwise is very well behaved. She freely distributes Sheltie kisses all over. We're finding she's quite the mischief maker by chewing just about any thing she finds on the floor. So I've adjusted my estimate of her age to about 8 to 9 months. she just acts to much like a puppy.

If the guy ever contacts me again I'll either ignore him completely or tell him "Too Bad, So Sad, Bye Bye".

So welcome home little Kendall!
