Fromm's Dog Food

Yes, large breed because of the fat content. It's not like the pieces are big or anything. Chicken A La Veg is too high in fat. If you like the Fromm's then I would stick to these choices -- remember, not ALL grains are evil. I personally prefer grain free but not all grains are flat out evil. Anyway, these are the best options from Fromm.

Fromm Four Star Whitefish & Potato Dry (fish + grains 23% protein, 11% fat)

Fromm Large Breed Adult Gold (duck/chicken + grains 23% protein, 12% fat)

Fromm Grain Free Heartland Gold Large Breed Adult Dry (beef/pork 24% protein, 12% fat)

Fromm Weight Management Gold Dry (turkey/chicken + grains 25% protein, 10% fat)

Fromm Grain Free Gold Coast Weight Management Dry (fish 25% protein, 10% fat)

Fromm Reduced Activity & Senior Gold Dry (duck/chicken + grains 23% protein, 11% fat)

I just read that Fromm's has 48% carbohydrate. I've switched to Natura but now there's something wrong with that too! I am about to throw in the towel... Allprovide is having an open house, I think I will go see that, fresh human grade, grain free ingredients.

Joan -- have you tried Sojo's? My shelties are doing amazing on Lamb & Beef Sojo's Complete. I do lamb in the AM and Beef in the PM. It's a bit pricey at a total of 2 bags a month for the 2 large shelties, but hey, no kids.
