Funniest thing you have seen at a trial

Ok so I trialed on Sunday and had the seminar on Saturday. No Q's but almost.Anyways,I have thought I have seen it all but guess not. This lady is running a Scottie and needed so many points to get what I thought was a MACH but her Pax.Felt bad because her other Scottie needed the 8 points for her MACH but did not get it.So she ran the course was clean and everyone is hooting and hollering when she is telling her friend to get her bag .She does and what does she pull out but her own PAX ribbon. It mjust be something new . Never saw it before in my life. The ribbon was bigger and longer than the dog.I do have to say the MACH or PAX ribbons TMAC gave out were very plain and ugly.

I haven't trialed enough to see strange things. lol. But that's a first. I know with the club I belong to, they have the ribbons/poles ready to go and kinda hide out....just in case they don't Q. But if they do, they're there with the things. At other clubs, I see them hand them out later (way after the run). So, I dunno. Maybe she knew her clubs ribbons were ugly? So she bought her own. LOL.

On the upside, my friend is in charge of the ribbons, so she's been buying COOL ones. With nicer colors. Our double Q ribbons are a magenta and navy blue. It's quite hideous. The new ones are black and teal/turquoise. Much better.

I'll have to think about the funniest things I've seen.

Apparently a few years ago (before we were into agility) a starters dog ran out of the ring, ran to the hot dog stand and stole a hot dog...

If I ever get this obsessive, just slap me silly, ok? :rolleyes2:

One womans friend at a trial got so worked up about her friend getting a MACH at a trial that she came by the awards table, ran behind it, not saying anything to the person running the table, ripped the MACH bar off the wall, and took off.
There have also been numerous dogs to jump up on a tunnel instead of going into it and walking the length of the tunnel on top of it.
We had a white tunnel one weekend at a show in Ohio where the tunnel was under the a-frame. My friends BC kept running head long into the side of the tunnel, as he couldn't see the entrance to it. I guess dogs just don't see white tunnels very well.

Another strange thing I saw John Nys running Rush and he crossed the finish line and I heard Paulette who owns him that was his MACH 4 and they walked away.No hoopla and no getting the MACH bar or ribbbon or doing the MACH run.I just thought that was weird.

Haha! Sounds like something Treader would pull!

Unfortunately I have never been to any trials, but I used to watch Agility videos all the time. I remember in one of them one of the dogs kept jumping/scrambling over the pause table due to the speed he was trying to do this at.

I entered an AKC trial under Janet Gauntt one summer. I figured if she only does one or two AKC trials a year, I should get in on that.

Novice Jumpers - My dog actually peed on the tunnel. I'm sure he wasn't the first, but come on.

Novice Standard - The building got so hot, that instead of jumping like a good boy, he sauntered through the uprights of the wing jump. They were the three PVC upright kind, with about 8 inches between the uprights. Then he acted like he had never done agility before. I took off to do the rest of the course without him, and he caught up and did the rest of it just fine.

Mom was secretary-ing, so I was working, and Janet came back after the class and said "well, at least I know your dog is at the correct weight"
