Good Night Kiss

DEFINITELY the cutest thing I've heard! I love it when doggies do that :) Funny, Precious surely (or I like to think) ATTEMPTS to do the same thing but her distance is always miscalculated and she comes over to me and only ends up jabbing in me in the eye with her wet nose LOLOL but on the rare occasions she's able to stop in time, she gives me a nose to nose kiss :):)
 
This is a wonderful ritual Quilpie has started! Sounds like he is indeed saying, "Goodnight, Mom". Too funny.

My girls just like to attempt licking my eyeballs right out of my head in the mornings... :lol:

Lucky you. My Danny Boy kisses my husband goodnight and gives me what I call "donkey kicks" (kicking me hard with his back legs). Sometimes he lays on my head. I cannot figure any of this out.
 
This is just so very sweet! What a nice ritual he has,he is kissing you night. Trapp does kisses to,but usually on my hand or arm.Jasper crashes as soon as his head is down,he is out for the count!:biggrin2:

my Beau, doesn't give me a kiss, but, when I let him out of the crate in the morning he runs for my bed and snuggles with me. he puts his head on my pillow and we are literally nose to nose for about 15 minutes
 
That's absolutely adorable.

Edan likes to give my hands/arms a quick bath before I go to sleep. It adorable to watch him at work because he gets this really contented and loving look on his face.

In the morning, when the alarm goes off, he goes over and licks DH's face to wake him up.


CJ, on the other hand, just flops on your chest and scoops your hand for scratches and pets. When she doesn't get them, she scoots up higher. If you continue to ignore her, she scoots up and licks your face until you pet her. :lol:

I see, there are a lot of Shelties having rituals, but Quilpie seems to be an exception :rolleyes2:
By the way: He has a morning ritual too, means laying on me licking all over my face until I stand up :biggrin2:
but luckily he does it only if he realizes me slowly waking up or with command: "Geh Rebecca wecken!"/"Go, wake up Rebecca!"
and when he can't wake me up he acclaims me as soon as he notices, that I'm awake :lol:

(Vinci doesn't - he is happy to sleep until breakfast... afore he doesn't even open his eyes...)

Zoey doesn't kiss us good night, but she always does 2 house rounds before she can call it a night; she's go in the hallway, check the window to make sure there's no stranger, come back to quickly glance at us, then check out again, then will crash next to our bed.

Better safe than sorry!
 
I don't get the kisses good night. Emma just goes and lies under the bed until sometime around 2:00 a.m. when she gets up and cuddles tight.

Liam, on the other hand, will not settle down if for some reason I have left my door open. He keeps going out and checking to see if Grandpa is going to bed, and if not, then he lies in the doorway. Once the door is closed, he gives me a long look and then either goes under the bed too, lies in the dog bed beside the bed, or flops down tight to the bedroom door. He lives up to his name of Strong Protector. Again, he is up on the bed sometime during the night.

In the morning, I will have both lying across me to get me up and they can't figure out why I can't move to get up with them lying on me.
