We went to Hanford this weekend and I showed Tucker on Friday and we ended up BOS over several specials! It was kind of funny as the show itself was small for class entries but there were 4 specials 1 day and 6 or 7 the other 2 days!

I ended up not showing him Saturday but on Sunday his breeders grand daughter showed him in breed and was BOB and then showed in Jr's and they received their 2nd Best Jr in Show together! Since her other possible Jr dogs are girls and out of coat Tucker has been promoted and will be going to Missouri with us to show in Jr's! :biggrin2:

Since he'll already be entered I'm debating showing him in breed also but I'm not sure if I'm brave enough for that at Nationals LOL

I also found a fun link on AKC's site that lets you see all the dogs GCH points and as of right now Tucker is the #20 sheltie for GCH points! It'll change as more dogs get more points but it was kind of a fun surprise!

Tami, you probably have this all taken care of, but it is worth mentioning...
Tucker will need to be co-owned with the jr handler, or the grandmother (breeder) at the least.

Oh, this makes me smile... my "big break" in Juniors came when some wonderful people decided to share a great little male champion with me.

I'll be there on Saturday morning to cheer her on!

Yes, his breeder still co-owns him with me so we're good. I am just happy he'll be 'entered' at the show so he can 'legally' be at the show :) I really didn't have anyone to dogsit since everyone will be in MO and now I don't have to worry about him being booted out of the building!

Pet peeve!! (OK, I have a lot of them). NOWHERE in the AKC regulations does it say that unentered dogs can't be on show grounds, despite what ASSA says over the loudspeaker. AKC regs state that no dogs under 6 months are to be on show grounds. Now, the club can do whatever they want, but I wish they would own up to not wanting unentered dogs on the grounds, instead of passing it off on AKC. Or just get over the fact that the dogs will be there regardless.

You could always enter him in Rally : ) That would make him legal, and it could be fun!

I can see it from both sides but it is rather annoying. I live alone so if I have no one to dogsit what am I supposed to do? I don't have a motorhome to leave them in and it's too hot to leave them in the car in a crate.

I actually snuck him in with me last year in Phoenix when I drove down to watch for a few days. I had friends that allowed me to leave him in their xpens when needed so I guess I looked official enough that no one questioned me. It was rather amusing though sitting next to two people talking about this issue and how they'd asked people to leave, etc as I was petting my illegal unentered dog
