This past weekend was the GLKC agility trial. Athena finished her MXJ with Qs #9 and #10 at this trial! She also won both of her jumpers classes! What a weekend!
We also would've Q'd in standard, but their table desperately needs to be sanded, and was very slick  so, on otherwise clean runs, she slid off the table while attempting to sit both times, which has never happened to us before. :/ Shame, too. Both runs were fast enough to win the class, and on the first days course, only 8 of all of the excellent dogs Q'd. She'd have been one of those few had that not happened.
I really hate that resanding the table isn't considered as important as the contacts. My dog shouldn't have to NQ just because a club doesn't take care of its' equipment properly.

Oh bummer!

I think I'd be out there with a 50 grit sander if that happened to Deja!

"..S'cuse me folks, just fixxing your gear sinse you don't know how..just ignore me.."

On the up side though, Gratz on the MXJ title and qualifiers!!

Way to go Athena. Too bad about the table.:( I hate it when equipment isn't cared for. Like slick mats in obedience:mad:Grr.

Congrats Stacey and Athena. That stinks you have to NQ because of the table.I guess there was a problem with the chute at the trial on Sunday from what my friend Cindy told me and some guy had to go home and get his and the trial was held up like 45 minutes. This was a one ring trial and they had Fast class so the trial did not end till 8 at night. Now, I am glad I did not go.

We had something similar happen recently at another trial. Someones big dog broke the teeter at a 1 ring trial, and a club member had to run and get their teeter from home.
