You did all you could for her, and even more. I am sorry you've had so much loss....but maybe you can take consolation in the way you got to say good-bye....and reach some closure....it is a wonderful and touching post.

Good-bye sweet Gypsy.....I know you'll be waiting for your mom when she comes to join you...
 
Rest in peace sweet Gypsy. My heart breaks for you Dawn. What a beautiful post about Gypsy, like others have said, I can barely read it through the tears streaming down my face.
 
Such beautiful messages from all of you, but you really are giving me too much credit. I only did what most of you would have done to help Gypsy through this illness and than free her from the pain when I felt it was time. God Bless all of you and your beautiful pups. Thank you so much for your support.
 
My dogs and I shared a few minutes of silence to honor and remember Gypsy's life on this corporeal plane. I turned off everything that makes a sound, got down on my knees, put my arms around them... and they licked the tears from my face.

Dawn I know your heart is breaking on this saddest of days, but we can all take comfort from the knowledge that she doesn't have to hurt anymore.

Farewell sweet Gypsy, and swift passage to the Rainbow Bridge.

How lucky you were to have her..how lucky was she to have you. I'm sure God was involved. Love and hugs...my heart aches for you.
 
My first reaction to reading the thread title was 'Oh no...'

I'm so sorry. May knowing she's no longer troubled by illness bring you some comfort.
