Harley Sipes 2004-2010

Have you ever sat Josh down to tell him that he's hurting your feelings? I know guys don't typically like to do that...but it seems like he either a) is a jerk or b) doesn't realize that his backing out on your plans upsets you. Just a thought.

I am so sorry to read about Harley. You have my deepest sympathy. I have had situations like this too. I would never presume to say that I know how you feel, because no one can know just how another person feels, but it really will get better. Right now you will need to just take it one day at a time, or maybe even one hour at a time.

I know that we tend to feel that things like this are somehow our fault, but you have to realize that it is doubtful that there was anything that you could have done if you had been there. It was a tragic accident, but that is what it was; an accident. If anyone is at fault here it is the person who was driving the car.

Only you will know when it is time for you to get another dog. Don't let anyone talk you into it until you are ready. It wouldn't be fair to either you or the dog.

One thing that may make you feel a little better is to consider making a small donation to a local animal shelter or rescue group in Harley's name.
