Once in a while a competition will host a fancy dress pairs competition, that's where two dogs and two handlers run in a relay in fancy dress.

Well, we recently entered an Hawaiian pairs competition. I have never laughed so hard! There were lost petals and dropped seashell bras all over the place! (Not to mention a banana and a strawberry!) The weather was not particularly kind to us and some of the hula girls were showing some decidedly pasty legs, but we gave the judge a good laugh!

Merlin ran a nice round - all that tunnel action!! I loved seeing how his tail was really wagging too at the end so he was not perturbed by your unusual attire....or have you been practicing in a grass skirt? :winkgrin: Your friend's little dog made me laugh - he/she reminded me of an atom in the Hadron Collider zooming round and round!! It looks like a lot of fun despite the weather and thank you so much for sharing. I'm still smiling now and had to watch it again :biggrin2:
 
It was such fun! My 'pair' was George the cocker spaniel, who is actually a grade 6 dog normally. His owner, Pat, said he would either be brilliant or a clown:lol:

I did waggled my skirt at Merlin before he went into the ring as I thought it would freak him out, but clearly it didn't. In fact I am thinking of running in a hula skirt more often, as it seems to work!:wink2:
 
I was laughing so hard at everyone running I stopped being nervous and Merlin ran so well for me. Oh the difference my nerves make to him! If only I could find a way to chill out on the start line! I'm working on it, I promised Merlin:wink2:
