HeadStones/Grave Markers

My Angel Is buried in my back yard... at my back window so I can see her everyday ( may sound silly to some). But I HAD to get a Grave Marker for her... after all she was my only daughter.

If anyone is interested in getting one for your lost loved one there is a great site based out of PA (but delivers anywhere).

here is the one i got .. the pic is kinda fuzzy but they are very beautiful!!!

I got it in 3 days.(but I live in PA)
If your pet is not buried on your property it can be a wonderful addition to your home as well.. It would look great next to a pic of your beloved dog in your home. The one I chose is made of granite. They are basically smaller versions of headstones for people. (meaning the same high quality)


PS: it also comes with a personalized full color rainbow bridge poem (has IN MEMORY OF ANGEL) at the top ... I have it framed.

:sadsmile:That is beautiful. I know what you mean by having them where you can always see them. I have my puppy from my first litter buried in a corner of my yard that is always sunny (so he's always warm) and where I take pictures of my dogs so he is part of every picture.....
 
No its not silly, its beautiful, love the headstone. With my setters, I donated one, his body was sent to Purdue University, so they possibly could help another loved one. His brother is buried in my backyard, without a stone, but I know where he is buried. I wanted to do something for him but I haven't.
He has been gone for awhile, and I still miss him. My other setter was so sick toward the end, I was just pleased he was resting in peace.

That is so pretty. We currently have two fur babes buried here with ground markers I made from cement pavers.

When Nick passed away (kitty of 15 years) we were living at a rental house,6 houses up from here. Brian built him a nice casket.So he was buried there. But when we bought the house here,I really wanted him here with me

But I really did not know how Brian would react to actually going back and bringing him here. But one day the first week we were getting settled in,Brian said "baby I have to go back to the old house,I'll be back in a few"..off he went.

When he returned,he had my Nick in the truck,casket and all.So he is home forever with me.

We also have an 9 week old cocker spaniel,named Dusty.Both have ground markers I made.
 
I have used the corner markers that are usually ingraved with the last name initial of the person who died. They are flat polished granite about 8"-10" square. The monument store ingraves them for me, and the ashes of my passed on dogs are in the flower garden at our house in Maine. It is a nice feeling to do my gardening among the stones, remembering each little friend. I don't know where life will take me, but I know our house in Maine will always be owned by me for as long as I live. We also planted a Pee-Gee hydranga tree in honor of my best friend who passed from cancer. Her ashes were spread in the ocean in front of our house.

Silly? I have a whole cemetery -- a lovely glade carved into the woods behind the house. Lassie, my beloved Collie, is buried there, along with Roo Chinchilla. My family has instructions that I go there, too. We purchase our memorials at the site below -- they're very natural and fit the atmosphere of our little family plot:

Those are very pretty markers. I didn't plan on being in my current house forever so I got a black onyx marble urn for Jazz ashes. I never think its silly to memorialize our companions.
