Helicopter Sheltie owner alert

I have two peas in a pod Shelties they have been together since "in utero"- they are brother and sister -- they have never been apart and are two peas in a pod they do everything together, go to the vet, go to get groomed etc. I know how Shelties react when one disappears and sooooo here is my question--again helicopter Sheltie owner alert. Both have to have dental work done--bad parent did not get the backmost molars- and it will be done on two separate days and will be an all day thing. So here is my question: would it be better on the stay at home Sheltie if I also took them both to the vet to drop off the one dog and then when I pick them up or would it be better to just leave with the dental scrapping victim and let the other wonder what happened? My reasoning was that since they have both been to the vet maybe the stay at home would kind of "know" where his/her bff was at some level-- or are the blades on my helicopter just turning too fast??

I am thinking along the same line as Ron as well. If they were that connected I’d probably bring them both…if I had someone with me. If I was alone and depending on how behaved (or not) the dogs are I may leave the one at home. Whatever you do remember that the other dog will get over it quickly when the dog getting the treatment comes home.
Blueberry HATES it when I take one dog out…when the other dog comes back shes all over them but she gets over it quickly.
