Hello From Austin!

Thanks so much, everyone! When we got her they told us her name was Latte but you can tell she doesn't know her name. :( We've started calling her Hattie because it seems to fit her... I don't know how they could have her two years and her not know her name! She lived outside and I'm guessing the barely interacted with her. You wouldn't guess that though because she loves people and children. She is nervous in the car, however. I think she feels like we're going to dump her every time we go on a car ride. :( She also hasn't really been eating the food they told us they fed her -- beneful? Anyone had any tips on how to get her to eat them? She LOVES treats and spins in circles when I say the word-- so she knows treats but not her name!

Welcome.

Hattie's beautiful! :smile2:

This place is a wealth of information, and some amusing quirks/stories. Many of which you'll come to recognize.

Wishing you so many blessed years with your new sheltie.I will say,she is just beautiful.

Well there is a wealth of info here on the forum, pertaining to food, and many other discussions.Particularly do read the "dingleberry" thread!! Have tissues handy, cause you will giggle!

I would suggest in a quiet moment, look thru the threads under "food"."Commercial foods",etc... We all have our favorites, and sometimes food issues do bring out some heated discussions. But it is all definately a great learning tool when it comes to our babes~

Again welcome to you & Hattie!!

awww.She is just beautiful!!! Thank God you rescued her. No Sheltie should be in a back yard!!! Poor Baby. Well she has a wonderful loving home and it sounds like she's getting used to the luxurious life now. :wink2: She will be your faithful friend and give you more love in return than you ever could have imagined. Good luck with her and welcome to the forum I have learned so much from all of the other members.

Did you notice my Gypsy is a Blue Merle also and My Chandler is a color headed white.

Great looking pup, has a look of plotting in her eyes . She probably was wondering what she got into with the vet prodding then all that scrubbing until you got finished and she dried off, the she was probably going WOW that feels great. Maybe others can comment better but Beneful always seemed like the Cap'n Crunch of dog foods to me, though I could be wrong.

Welcome to the forum. Hattie is beautiful and very lucky to have found a good home. Hugs to you both. I look forward to hearing about your adventures.
