Hello from Central Ohio

If you look for the threads about Tinsel's Journey and Claire's story from Woodbender, you'll get wonderful support for unfurling a Sheltie like Ida May.

Thank you everyone. I've been reading others stories about their rescues. It's terrible how people can just toss these beautiful dogs aside. But at least there are good people out there who will pick them up and give them the homes the deserve.
In other news: Houston, we have romping! I was weeding yesterday, and tried to call Ida, but she wouldn't come all the way to me. Figured out that she was scared of the hoe and the big blue weed bucket, so I moved them behind the shed. Not only did she come up to me then, she play bowed and started zooming around the yard! It was wonderful to watch.

Welcome! That is wonderful progress! If it makes you feel better, i had my dog from ten weeks old and no socialization issues, just the opposite and very social espcially with his family, and he has never been one to play with toys. Thank you for sharing that picture!
