Sheltie Girl
Forums Novice
Hello, I too have been enjoying this board for several months and now finally getting around to saying hello.
I am a three time Sheltie owner. Currently I am the lucky owner of Gunner, a beautiful, silly 1 year old bi blue boy who can from rescue. I lost both my 11 year old Sheltie JJ and my 13 year old Collie, Ivy last August, 10 days apart.
Just when I thought my heart was broken for good, along came New England Sheltie Rescue with a photo that brought tears (of happiness) to my eyes. A sweet little puppy with a crazy undershot bite. He was saved by rescue from a breeder who was going to euthanize him because of the defect! Not only has his "defect" all but disappeared, anyone who sees him smiles.. because he is smiling at them! So Gunner and his 15 year old collie mix sis, Brandi say hello! from Massachusetts.

I lost my 10 year old Sheltie, Jewel Nov 26, 2007 and I was so devastated. I can't imagine losing 2 beauties 10 days apart. But then God sent Gunner.
I can't think about what might have happened to him if he didn't get to rescue. He has brought SO MUCH joy to us. It makes me literally sick to my stomach when I think of what might have happened to him. His sister was rescued too, and is living the good life as well with a nice family!
