Hello .... My name is Janice and I'm from Massachusetts. I'm so glad I happened across this group of Sheltie Lovers! Our little Shelly is 8 1/2 weeks old she is sable and white (love at first site you might say) we got her for our son's birthday who just turned 9. For over a year we went to many dog shows and talked with many people at the shows about Shelties. I can see why these dogs are called kid friendly she follows my son around everywhere. I can already see they will be best friends for life. My son will be joining 4-H in September with her. We purchased her from a wonderful Breeder in Conn. It was like we were part of her life right from the start. We were able to see pictures of her and her litter mates at a day old and then every other week until we picked her up last Sunday. Well I'm sure we will be learning alot from everyone. Once I learn how to post pictures here I will. Maybe this will work.

Welcome Janice--Your puppy is beautiful. My dog Shadow is from a breeder in Salem Conn.I live in Conn. We do alot of adility trials in Mass. like Granby and Westfield and the Big E in Nov..What breeder did you use in Conn?

Hi Janice and welcome to you and Shelly! She is adorable. Like Sharon, I'm in CT too and would love to know who your breeder is. Mine is in Cheshire and I'm also at most of the dog shows in MA and CT. Maybe we can all meet up sometime! Enjoy the forum! :winkgrin:

Thanks for the warm Welcome ...... For sure we will be learning much and useing many of your ideas. The Breeder we got Shelly from is McTipper Shelties in Scotland Conn. We were so lucky to have found her. We still enjoy going to the shows and watching. Yes, maybe we could meet up sometime that would be nice. I'm not sure if we will ever be competing in obedience and agility shows like alot of you. But who knows it might be something my son can work towards. For now we will starting 4-H in the fall and joining some type of puppy training classes.

You have a very lucky little boy there to have such a wonderful little Sheltie. She is beautiful !! We just had another person from Mass, join her name is Janet and she has a 2 year old male sheltie.
