Hello from Oregon!!!

Hello and welcome to Oregon! I am from Hermiston, which is abiut 200 miles east of you. I am about 25 miles west of Pendleton where they hold a big rodeo, The Pendleton Roundup, every September. Also, I go through Yakima occasionally and got my Persian cat there!

200 miles?! Wow. Okay, so how far are you from the state border? Just curious how far across it is.

Big rodeo, huh? I feel like I'm in a whole new country. ;)

I'm about the same 200 mile distance to reach the Idaho border, but only about 7 miles from the Columbia River and our border with Washington. The Roundup is generally the second week in September each year and has been a yearly event for over a hundred years. It really is a world class rodeo with tons of people dressed western, Native Americans in traditional regalia and competitors from all over the world.

That is one very intense rodeo. If it wasn't so far, I'd go visit. 200 miles seems extreme. Well, I guess it shouldn't since over the past 3 months, I have driven over 4,000 miles. 1,000 of that about a month ago. ;)

And dang Oregon is wide!!!! I'm more used to driving 280 miles and ending up in Vegas. LOL. I mean, it's like what, 1.5 hours to the coast? And you're telling me it's 400 miles to Idaho? Yikes! I could make it to Canada faster. Haha. This is all very new to me.
 
loved the pictures, sometimes I can't help myself but when Beau' asleep on the floor like that I will sometime get down on the floor and snuggle right along side of him. mmmmthe warmth of a snuggle
