hello from south louisiana

Welcome to the Forum. I also have a handsome sable boy and I find that many people tell me what a beautiful girl I have. I have to admit that generally I smile and tell them that my handsome boy and I both thank them.

thanks for the warm welcome. shelties are such a beautiful breed. people stop us just to admire his appearance and playful demeanor. a couple of weeks ago, while getting a haircut, a lady stopped me to get the name of our breeders because she wanted a sheltie but did not know where to go. makes you want to boast.:)

Welcome to the forum from Southern Ontario. I know your pain in losing a beloved pet.

I have a beautiful year old sable named Emma and her handsome tri-coloured nephew Liam, also just a year.

You have a beautiful boy. Blessings may be how you sign off, but our Shelties bring many a blessing to our lives. We would be so much poorer without them.

Welcome to the forum Lisa and Tom. I had a Sheltie I lost when she was 16 years old so I understand how hard it is. I wanted to get another little girl like her, she was about 17 pounds and I ended up with two male pups! You'll get tons of info here. I loved the yawning picture.

Thanks for the welcome and the kind words about our Prince. Lisa and i were in Toronto in 2009 and Waterton in 2007. we almost did not return to Louisiana.... :) also, it is absolutely true that Prince has brought great joy to our lives. we look to many years together as a family. Him and our new grandson are doing well together and getting to know each other.

You were in my neck of the woods in 2009. I live in Port Colborne about 1/2 hour from Buffalo, and about an hour's drive from Waterdown. It is a beautiful area of the province. It's also about two hours from Toronto.

we spent 3 weeks on the road in sept & oct and during that time we were 3 days in Niagara Falls and into Canada. we really enjoyed our time there. those were special days for Lisa and I.

Welcome :smile2:
