Hello from Tokyo

Welcome from Northern Virginia. Sansa is a total delight -- are you going to do her ears or let them go natural?

Three of my Shelties are half Japanese, through Mr. Edo of Northern Farm.

Thanks!

Never done ears before but if I understand it right, it's just to get the correct flop and bring them closer together? I think hers are like that already though. Definitely much more than my previous sheltie.

She is still quite the stinker but I've done away with the pen and let her roam free. She hasn't chewed up anything but her toys and seems to really enjoy the bed I got her BUT she is timid about venturing out of the room. She'll dash down the hallway just to the edge of the carpet and then dash back in her room repeatedly. I can get her to hang out in the next room for a little while but eventually she'll go charging back into her room.

Sansa is at 6kg (lil more than 13lbs) now but still quite a puppy! (she still follows me everywhere)

This new park near me (under construction) is mostly fenced in and has become the local meeting place for everyone in the area with pups. Not sure it will become a "dog run" or not but the area pictured above seems to be the meet and greet + play area where you can get away with letting them loose. (or faking it with a light leash)

I never realized how bad things here were til I got Sansa but all the "get off my lawn!" type old people here are putting and end to everything from dogs to even children playing in parks...not cool when most homes here don't even have a decent front/rear yard.
