Hi everyone!
We visited Jewel at SiriusK9 Rescue in Kanata, ON (Canada) a few times so that she got a feel for us. She came over for a 10 day foster with us. We bonded well, so on April 20, 2021, we officially adopted her.
We wanted a dog to enhance our quality of life and Jewel delivered! Now she’s not your typical friendly dog but with us she is the best. She loves her walks. We found a great vet that helps us take care of her.
Jewel came to us at 5 years old (she turned 7 this past February). She was pretty set in her ways. Like we didn’t teach her anything. We very much like the company she brought. And we wish her a long happy life although we need to watch out for cars and buses. She is very reactive and giving out treats helps.
We had her DNA analyzed an she is 95% sheltie and 5% eskimo dog.
We grew our family and so far she is welcoming the baby by being curious and not barking. Time will tell if she is a big sister to our little one.
