Elaine, I am very sorry to hear of your loss of Jewel, I know how just how heartbreaking it is.
My gang consists of, Jazz-a sable girl, her daughter Charm- a sable, 3 tris- Grady, Rudy, and Simone, 2 bi blue girls- Storm and Katie, and 1 bi black boy- Cosmo.
Jazz & Charm enjoy herding, Jazz has earned her first herding title and we are hoping to accomplish the 2nd and 3rd this coming year. We have been training for about 3 years now. She and I have done a few rally lessons but it is a couple hour drive to where the lessons are held, so we have put that on hold for now.
Rudy has been showing in ukc conformation, and completed his Ukc Champion title last fall. This year we plan on showing Cosmo, Storm and Simone. Katie earned a Best of Breed in ukc last year.
I have found I really enjoy the ukc shows since they are family orientated and do not allow professional handlers to enter. I have sons, and they enjoy going along and being involved.
We live back in a rural setting so the dogs enjoy running and playing to their heart's content.
